Brussels Airport private transfers and minibus hire

Brussels Airport keeps things compact: one terminal, a short covered walk to the coaches and a quick drive into the city. The rule to plan around is the low-emission zone.

Arrivals hall for cars, Level 0 for coaches

Zaventem has one terminal, served by Piers A and B. If you have booked a chauffeur, the meeting takes place in the arrivals hall. Group coaches depart from the bus station down on Level 0, roughly 100 m away by a covered walkway; the "Bus" signs lead you there.

That covered walkway is welcome when a group is wheeling a lot of luggage, and the short distance makes it easy to keep everyone together.

A short drive to the European Quarter

The airport is about 12 km from central Brussels, usually 20-40 minutes. Business visitors heading to the European Quarter or Avenue Louise often use an executive van or minibus. Delegations, school parties and larger tour groups are more likely to need a midi or full-size coach, particularly if they are carrying luggage for a week.

The Brussels LEZ and foreign-registered vehicles

All 19 municipalities of Brussels-Capital fall within the low-emission zone, but the R0 ring does not. Diesel buses and coaches built to Euro 5 have been shut out since 1 January 2026, and any vehicle registered outside Belgium has to be registered with the LEZ before it enters. If your coach is coming from another country, the operator needs to complete that registration well before the day.

In the city, coaches can use the short-stop zone on Boulevard de Berlaimont near Central Station, with a 30-minute limit, and medium-stop zones, good for up to five hours, on Boulevard Pachéco, Avenue de Bouchout and Rue Ducale. Rue Ducale is handy for the Royal Palace and Parc de Bruxelles.

Arriving at Charleroi instead

Some flights use Brussels South Charleroi Airport, about 55 km from the city. A private transfer takes the group straight to the hotel and saves wrestling suitcases onto a crowded shuttle. Groups touring further can head straight on to Ghent or Bruges instead.
