Zona Bus: why the Sagrada Família stop is booked ahead

On 26 January 2026 Barcelona moved to Zona Bus 4.0. Under it, a vehicle with nine or more seats, the driver's included, needs a permit for each day it enters, and stops at Park Güell, the Sagrada Família, Sant Pau, La Pedrera and the MNAC on Montjuïc have to be reserved ahead. Arrival and exit are logged by the driver through the SPRO app, and each Zona Bus stop is limited to 10 minutes, so have the group ready to get off quickly. Because the driver's seat counts, a van with eight passengers already reaches nine and needs the permit too; only a smaller car or van stays below the threshold.

El Prat arrivals, terminal by terminal

By road the airport lies about 15 km out, a drive of 25 to 45 minutes. You will find meeting points in the arrivals halls of T1 (Floor 1) and T2B (Floor 0). Coaches for groups are loaded at T1's Floor 0 Arrivals, at T2A's docks 41-51 or 1-10, or at T2C's docks 21-33, so it pays to know your terminal before landing.

Cruise days at the Port de Barcelona

The cruise terminals are strung along the Adossat quay, while WTCB stands on the Barcelona quay. Passengers and luggage can be dropped there, but vehicles are not allowed to park at the terminals, so the collection is timed around disembarkation. Families often find a night in the city before sailing the relaxed way to do it, and the airport is only about 15 km from the port.

The ZBE Rondes and days beyond the city

On weekdays, from 07:00 until 20:00, a bus or coach entering the ZBE Rondes has to meet Euro 4 at the least. Beyond the city, Montserrat is about 60 km away, an hour or so; Sitges lies around 40 km down the coast; Girona and Tarragona are each about 100 km.

Only by reservation, using the coach parking reached via Carretera del Carmel. Park Güell is also one of the Zona Bus stops that must be booked ahead.

How do we get a team to MWC Barcelona?

In 2027 the congress runs 1-4 March at Fira Gran Via, which is in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, not Barcelona proper. The simplest pattern is a daily shuttle linking hotel and Fira.
