Sizing the vehicle for a 45 to 75 minute drive

The airport is about 30 km from central Paris, and the road in usually takes 45-75 minutes depending on traffic and where you are staying. An executive car suits a couple, an executive van takes up to eight, and a minibus with 16-19 seats fits a small club or a family wedding party. Bigger groups move up to a midi or full-size coach with underfloor luggage bays.

Describe the luggage generously: ski bags, instrument cases and pushchairs change the vehicle more often than the headcount does.

Why a coach may not stop outside your Paris hotel

Since 2024, central Paris has been off limits to tourist coaches. Parking one is charged at every hour of the day and night and calls for a PASS Autocar, while the ZFE low-emission zone, covering everything within the A86, turns away coaches with a Crit'Air 3, 4 or 5 sticker, or no sticker at all, each day between 08:00 and 20:00. A group heading for Saint-Germain or Opéra will often get off at a stop close to the hotel, or at one of the city's 56 kerbside coach bays, rather than right outside the entrance.
