Václav Havel Airport is a friendly place to begin a Czech trip, with car pick-up points right outside the arrival halls. Coach groups need a little more thought, both at the airport and at the edge of the old city.
Schengen or not: which hall your group walks out of
Prague splits arrivals by passport area. Non-Schengen flights come into Terminal 1 and Schengen ones into Terminal 2, so a party flying in from London and another from Frankfurt can end up in different halls on the same afternoon. If your group is arriving in waves, decide early which hall everyone should gather in.
In the Terminal 2 arrivals hall you will also find the Prague City Tourism Visitor Centre, a handy place to pick up maps while the last suitcases come through.

Car pick-up points, and where a coach will meet you
Cars and vans pick up right outside both arrival halls, at the car pick-up points in front of each terminal. From 07:00 until 21:00 there are dispatchers on hand at the car meeting points and the exits from each hall, which is reassuring for anyone arriving in Prague for the first time.
For a minibus or coach, there is no single published group bay, so the operator fixes a spot with you before the trip and sends directions you can keep on your phone. We would rather settle that in writing a week ahead than leave a group searching after a late flight.
Perimeter coach stands and the walk into Staré Město
Unless a special exception has been granted, coaches may not enter Prague's historic centre, so groups get on and off at paid stands that ring the heritage zone. Kiss-and-ride stands allow 15 minutes and long-stay stands four hours, with charges applying daily 08:00-20:00.
If you are staying in Malá Strana or the Old Town, that usually means a short walk with luggage from the stand. If some travellers would find that hard, a minibus or van, plus a word with the hotel about the nearest place to stop, can make the arrival much gentler. The airport is about 18 km out, usually 25-45 minutes by road.
A first afternoon at the Castle or the Old Town Square
Plenty of groups go straight into sightseeing. For Prague Castle, coaches use the Dlabačov or Mariánské hradby stops, each about five minutes on foot. The Old Town Square is roughly ten minutes' walk from the coach stop on nábřeží Edvarda Beneše.
