Terminal 2A, 2B and the Bus Terminal
Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport has Terminal 2A for Schengen flights and 2B for non-Schengen ones. Tourist coaches collect groups from the Bus Terminal, a minute or two's walk from either. Between 2A and 2B on the arrivals level you will also see stops for the public 100E and 200E buses, so tell the group to look for their own vehicle rather than joining the queue for the city bus.

Short stops and longer waits
The Bus Terminal is meant for short stops, and a separate Bus Parking area takes longer waits. That split lets the driver park while your group clears passport control and then pull up just as you come out.
Budapest's centre is roughly 20 km from the airport, usually 30-50 minutes by road. A minibus suits a family reunion, choir or small club; for 30 or more, a midi or full-size coach carries everyone together with the cases stowed underneath.
BABU permits and Buda Castle
To drive into the Budavár protected zone around Buda Castle, a coach needs a permit, and BABU is the only system that issues it. Once inside, the coach may pause for 15 minutes to drop off or collect passengers, nothing more, and it has to stick to the route BABU approved; staying longer or straying from it brings surcharges.
For a hotel in the Castle District or Víziváros, the operator plans the route and timing with that in mind. Ybl Miklós tér serves as a set-down point, and the designated coach parking lies on Alsó Mészáros utca, Attila út and Palota út. Fifteen minutes is not long with forty suitcases, so a smaller vehicle can sometimes make the hotel stop calmer.
Hotels on the Pest side
Most groups stay in District V, VI or VII on the Pest side, near St Stephen's Basilica and the Parliament, where arrivals are simpler. A Danube river cruise past Parliament and the Castle makes a gentle first evening after the flight.
