Low-emission zones in the Baixa and along the Avenida
On weekdays between 07:00 and 21:00, Lisbon's ZER is in force. Zone 1, which covers the Baixa and the Avenida da Liberdade, needs Euro 3 or newer, while Zone 2, the wider area enclosed by Avenida Ceuta together with the Eixo Norte-Sul, needs Euro 2 or newer. Since Praça do Comércio sits within Zone 1, any weekday stop there calls for a compliant vehicle.

An airport with no published meeting point
Humberto Delgado Airport is close, about 7 km and 15 to 30 minutes from the centre, with two terminals. ANA does not publish an official meeting point for coaches or chauffeurs, so the exact spot is set for your booking and sent to you in advance. Check which terminal your flight uses so nobody waits at the wrong one.
Cruise terminals beside the Alfama
Jardim do Tabaco and Santa Apolónia, the main cruise terminals, lie beside the Alfama, so anyone with a spare hour is in the old town almost straight away. From the port to the airport is only about 9 km, 15 to 30 minutes, which makes it easy to pair a flight with embarkation day. Families joining a ship often stay a night in the city first, and one private transfer then takes everyone, cruise luggage included, to the terminal.
Belém, Sintra, Cascais and Fátima
Along the river west of the centre you will find Belém Tower as well as the Jerónimos Monastery, easy to pair with LX Factory at Alcântara. Cascais and Sintra are each about 30 km away, and a loop through both makes a relaxed day. Óbidos lies about 85 km off and Évora about 135 km, while for pilgrim groups Fátima is about 130 km, an hour and a quarter to an hour and a half away.
