Copenhagen Airport is close to the city and sends everyone out through one arrivals hall, so meeting a group is easy. The detail that matters is the environmental zone.

Everyone comes out in Terminal 3

Copenhagen has three terminals, with Terminal 1 mainly for domestic flights. All arriving passengers come out, after customs, into the arrivals hall of Terminal 3, so that is where your driver meets you. Pick-up and drop-off take place on the Terminal 3 forecourt, and coaches stop outside Terminals 2 and 3.

A single exit is a gift for group leaders: you can stand in one place and count everyone through.

Metro M2 to the city centre takes about 13-15 min.
All arriving passengers exit through the Terminal 3 arrivals hall.

A short drive into the city

The airport is about 8 km from the centre, usually 15-30 minutes. Groups staying in Indre By, Vesterbro or around Nyhavn can be at their hotel quickly. A minibus suits a small group, and an executive van works well for families or business travellers. For conference groups heading to the Bella Center in Ørestad, a shuttle can run straight from the airport.

The environmental zone and evening parking

Diesel buses entering the joint environmental zone of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg need a particle filter or must meet Euro VI. Foreign vehicles face the same rules, and cameras reading number plates enforce them. The Copenhagen zone was extended on 1 March 2025 and now reaches the boundary with Tårnby municipality.

During the day, 07:00 to 19:00, a bus can park wherever a car could. Overnight, from 19:00 to 07:00, it needs a signed space for heavy vehicles, and many of the tourist-bus bays are set aside for dropping off and collecting only. For an evening arrival, the operator will plan where the vehicle can stop outside your hotel.

Cruise quays and Malmö

Cruise passengers transfer to Oceankaj, Langelinie or Nordre Toldbod, about 15-20 km from the airport, usually 25-40 minutes. Parking at Langelinie and Nordre Toldbod is scarce and short-term, so drop-offs there are quick; Ocean Quay, the biggest berth, has a car park, P-plads Oceanvej. Malmö is also within reach, about 40 km via the Øresund Bridge.
