Kerbside lanes at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2
Munich has Terminal 1, divided into modules A to E, and Terminal 2. Cars and vans collect passengers from the kerbside arrival lanes. Terminal 2 puts its arrival lane on Level 03, a floor beneath the departure lane on Level 04. Stopping on a terminal forecourt is limited to 10 minutes, twice a day, which is enough to load a car but not to wait, so drivers time their approach to your group coming out.

Coach stops 21 and 22 beside Terminal 2
Coaches pick up at stops 21 and 22, the long-distance coach stops next to Terminal 2. Groups arriving at Terminal 1 face a walk of 5-10 minutes, so tell people which module they will exit from and where to regroup before setting off.
The city lies about 38 km away, usually 40-60 minutes by road. Over that distance comfort matters: a minibus or midi coach gives everyone a proper seat and keeps luggage out of the aisle, which is welcome after an early flight.
Getting close to the Altstadt
A low-emission zone applies inside the Mittlerer Ring, while the Altstadtring offers coaches no parking at all. Instead coaches use designated drop-off zones with a 20-minute limit, on Oskar-von-Miller-Ring, Maximiliansplatz, Blumenstrasse, Karl-Scharnagl-Ring and Frauenstrasse. After setting down, the coach moves on to parking such as Hansastrasse 51, ZOB Arnulfstrasse or the Olympiagelände.
For a hotel near Marienplatz or the Viktualienmarkt, that usually means a short walk from one of these zones, so suggest guests pack a case they can wheel themselves.
Messe München and Oktoberfest arrivals
Trade fair groups heading to Messe München in Riem can leave the coach at the Messestadt-Ost P+R bus station. Oktoberfest runs from 18 September to 3 October 2027 on the Theresienwiese, which has no parking at all, so groups are set down nearby and collected later at a point agreed in advance.
