Three terminals along the Tagus

Cruises in the Port of Lisbon are handled at three terminals. One is the Lisbon Cruise Terminal, standing at Jardim do Tabaco; another is the Santa Apolónia Cruise Terminal; the third is the Gare Marítima at Rocha Conde de Óbidos. The main ones stand close to Santa Apolónia and Alfama. Check which terminal your ship is using, because Rocha Conde de Óbidos is a separate drop point.

The ZER and a short tour before boarding

Every weekday between 07:00 and 21:00, central Lisbon operates the ZER low emission zone. Around Baixa and Avenida da Liberdade, Zone 1 calls for Euro 3 or newer, while the wider Zone 2, within the Eixo Norte-Sul and Av. Ceuta, calls for Euro 2 or newer. It is the operator's job to send a vehicle that complies. Once that is sorted, a short tour could take in Praça do Comércio, the hill of São Jorge Castle and the monastery and tower at Belém.

Airport runs and longer days out

Humberto Delgado Airport lies some 9 km from the port, between 15 and 30 minutes away. No official meeting point is published there for coach or chauffeur pickups, so the operator settles one with you in advance and you pass it on to the group. With a day or two either side of the cruise, Cascais and Sintra are both around 35-50 minutes away, Óbidos about an hour and Fátima 1.25-1.5 hours.

Is the cruise port close to the old town?

Yes. The main terminals are by Alfama and Santa Apolónia, so the drive to many central hotels is short.

Where will the driver meet us at the airport?

The airport has no official meeting point for coaches or chauffeurs, so the operator confirms a spot with you in writing before you fly.

Can we fit Sintra into a port day?

At 35-50 minutes each way it fits a full port day, provided the all-aboard time leaves a comfortable margin.
