Minibus hire for Christmas market trips
Christmas markets are one of the loveliest reasons to travel as a group in winter, and three of the best known sit at the heart of Vienna, Prague and Munich. We arrange minibus hire and private transfers with partner operators in each city, planned around the coach rules that govern their old centres.
Vienna Rathausplatz, 13 November to 26 December 2026
Since 1 May 2014 coaches have not been allowed to drive in the Innere Stadt, and they use set-down points such as Votivkirche, Schwedenplatz, Friedrich-Schmidt-Platz, Burgring and Börseplatz, most of which are in use daily 08:00-20:00. As a rule, bus parking cannot be reserved. Vienna also issues an Advent coach plan every year in late October, which covers the Saturdays ahead of Christmas, so check any Saturday visit against it.

Prague Old Town Square, 28 November 2026 to 6 January 2027
Prague keeps coaches out of its historic centre, sending them instead to paid stands around the rim of the heritage zone. Set-down stands allow 15 minutes and long-stay stands 4 hours, both charged 08:00-20:00. The Old Town stop is at nábřeží Edvarda Beneše, about a 10-minute walk from Old Town Square.
Munich Marienplatz, 20 November to 24 December 2026
In Munich there is no coach parking within the Altstadtring, and the drop-off zones give 20 minutes at most. For Viktualienmarkt the zone to use is Blumenstrasse, and long-stay parking lies outside the zone at Messestadt-Ost or Fröttmaning. Maximiliansplatz and Karl-Scharnagl-Ring are two more of the drop-off zones, and high-emission vehicles cannot enter the low emission zone that lies inside the Mittlerer Ring.
Linking the cities on one trip
A tour that crosses borders runs as an international occasional service with a journey form, and the driver may spend no more than 9 hours a day at the wheel, with a 45-minute break due after 4.5 hours. Plan those breaks in so the group arrives rested.

Prague's Old Town Square market, which continues until 6 January 2027.
Can the vehicle wait near Rathausplatz?
Coaches cannot drive in the Innere Stadt, and bus parking generally cannot be reserved, so the driver sets you down at a Ring set-down point and returns.
Are Saturdays harder in Vienna?
They can be. The Advent coach plan for pre-Christmas Saturdays is published each late October, and the operator plans around it.
